As much objet d’art as high fidelity component, the Davone Rithm stands apart from other loudspeakers both because of it’s extraordinary design motif and it’s petit profile.
As an object, the Rithm presents an exquisite architectural form reminiscent of the bent-ply artistry of modern furniture designers like Charles and Ray Eames, Avar Aalto, Fritz Hansen, George Mulhauser, et al. Standing at a mere 27″ tall, it won’t overwhelm the interior decor and yet it gently commands your attention to its elegant profile.
As a high fidelity component, it is able to project vast soundstages populated with organic imaging … the listener is immersed. Such is its ability to project the virtual reality of the recording that the Rithm never seems to be the actual source of the sound. To the eyes it remains a subtle and silent architectural element. To the ears, it is a time machine that transports the listener back to the original recording session.
The precision 5.7″ coaxial driver suffers none of the wave-interference that traditional multi-way speakers must overcome, due to its true point-source co-location of the woofer and tweeter. The result is a wonderfully natural, unfettered, and flowing presentation of music.
