“PS Audio, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of both high-end audio and AC power products announced three new ground breaking products. The PowerPlay line of globally accessible AC power control centers, a new network memory CD transport and the Power Sleuth power quality analyzer sales tool.

The PowerPlay line of AC power conditioners is the world’s only Plug-N-Play web controllable power conditioners. Five models will be displayed. The PowerPlay concept permits the complete control of an entire home theater system through any web based medium, including an iPhone or Blackberry phone from anywhere in the world. The system does not require special software nor a static IP and can be installed in under 60 seconds.

PS Audio’s ground breaking memory transport, as of yet unnamed, is the first in a new series of network addressable audio equipment. The transport features true Exact Audio Copy (EAC) data acquisition, full memory playback, low jitter fixed clock output, built in Digital Lens, variable bit rate for Red Book CD’s up to 24 bits, upgradeable CODECS, access to internet meta data sources to display both cover art and track titles, wireless, USB and Ethernet port access to the outside world.

Here is a product that intsallers, dealers and distributors can use to increase sales and provide better power solutions to their customers. An automatic power quality analyzer that can be left in the customer’s home for as little as a minute to as long as several weeks. The Sleuth constantly monitors all aspects of power quality, catalogs and stores the data.

The dealer, distributor or installer then retrieves the Seuth, uploads the data to the PS Global Net server and within a few minutes, receives a complete power quality analysis “score” of the customer’s power line along with recommendations from PS Engineering.

Data collected include:

• THD (Total Harmonic Distrotion)
• Line impedance (ability to deliver high current without voltage loss)
• Surges and spikes over time
• Voltage levels over time
• Brownout and blackout data
• Sags and swells

The Power Sleuth will revolutionize the way CE distribution presents the power quality category to its customers.
